Local Elected Officials Meet with Bronx Postmaster to Discuss Concerns Over the Kingsbridge Post Office

Bronx, NY – Congressman Eliot Engel, State Senator Jeff Klein, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, and City Council Member Andrew Cohen met with Bronx Postmaster Lilliam Rodriguez on Wednesday to discuss ways to improve postal service for the 10463 zip code. The local elected officials have been working in concert to address the problems plaguing the Kingsbridge Post office since 2013, and met with Postmaster Rodriguez in February of 2014 to voice concerns over late or missing deliveries, long lines, and other service issues at the station. Following the initial meeting, obvious improvements to the overall service were made, but a recent uptick in complaints to the elected officials’ offices prompted the scheduling of a second meeting.
