New York – Congressman Eliot Engel, a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, spoke with members of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York membership breakfast Wednesday morning about key transportation and legislative issues.

“I have long advocated for increased funding for our aging infrastructure, and welcomed the opportunity to speak with some of New York City’s leading engineers. They shared their thoughts on a number of issues, from the Highway Transportation bill to the Export-Import Bank,” said Congressman Engel. “These are critical issues of concern, and I look forward to continuing our dialogue.

Representatives Tim Bishop and Carolyn Maloney also attended the event. Polly Trottenberg, the current Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation, was the guest speaker.
