Engel Announces $196,467 Federal Grant for Mt. Vernon Health Center

Westchester, NY—Representative Eliot L. Engel, a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, announced the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center has been awarded a $196,467 federal grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) to improve health information technology (IT) These improvements will help the Center better communicate with patients and transition to a value-based care model.

“When we invest in our local health centers, we are also investing in people and the community as a whole,” Congressman Engel said. “The upgrades financed by this grant will equip the Mt. Vernon Neighborhood Health Center with the tools needed to afford patients high-quality information and care, thus enabling them to live healthier lives.”
