Engel Meets With SEIU Caregivers From the Bronx and Westchester in Washington

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Eliot Engel, a top member on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, met with 1199 SEIU caregivers from the Bronx and Westchester in his Washington, D.C. office yesterday to discuss the important progress that's been shepherded by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the indispensable coverage provided by Medicare, Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

"These health care providers are working every day to keep New Yorkers healthy," Engel said. "They see firsthand all that the ACA has accomplished, and I'm proud to be working alongside them to protect that progress. Together, we will continue to defend the ACA against GOP efforts to destroy it, and we will protect Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP for future generations."
