Engel Receives Perfect Score From National Parks Action Fund

Washington D.C.—Representative Eliot L. Engel, a leading member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, received a perfect 100% score from the National Parks Action Fund for his pro-National Parks voting record during the 114th Congress. The scored votes included a variety of issues affecting parks, including clean air, clean water, wildlife protections, funding levels, and considerations vital to preserving new places going forward.

“Collectively, our national parks are one of America’s greatest treasures and resources,” Congressman Engel said. “This country was blessed with some of the most incredible natural beauty on the planet, and we as Americans are very fortunate to have access to this beauty every single day. I have always believed that as Members of Congress, it is incumbent on us to protect and promote our national parks in hopes that we may preserve that natural wonder for future generations, just as they were protected for us. I am proud of my perfect National Parks Action Fund score and will continue to do all that I can to support our national parks in Congress.”
