Engel Responds to AG Barr’s Synopsis of the Mueller Report

Washington, D.C.–Congressman Eliot L. Engel, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement in response to Attorney General Barr’s synopsis of the Mueller Report:

"Let's see the report. Robert Mueller took nearly 2 years to conduct his investigation. A quick synopsis from DOJ which leaves ambiguous the question of whether or not the President may have committed a crime is not sufficient. We need full transparency with regard to what the Mueller Report uncovered and we need Attorney General Barr to explain why DOJ ‘determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment.' There are still more questions than answers at this point."
